At a special meeting Feb. 10, the Community High School District 128 Board of Education voted unanimously to move into closed session to discuss employment matters and collective‑bargaining negotiations.
Board member Don Carmichael made the motion to go into closed session; the motion was seconded by Lisa Hestle. The board then conducted a roll-call vote; board members present voted in favor and the board moved into closed session. The board announced the session would include discussion under Illinois Open Meetings Act exemptions for employment and collective negotiating matters and that no action would be taken after the closed session.
Members present for the meeting — as recorded at roll call — included Jim Batson, Cara Benjamin, Don Carmichael, Cara Drumke, Lisa Hestle, Middilesh Kotwal and Sonal Kulkarni. The board adjourned from open session to closed session following the vote.
