Gordon County commission proclaims February 2025 as county anniversary month

Chair Owens read a proclamation at the Gordon County Board of Commissioners meeting recognizing the county's anniversary and calling on residents to participate in commemorative events in February 2025.

The proclamation, read during the board's special recognition segment, said Gordon County was "officially established on February 1850" and called on residents, businesses and organizations to take pride in the county's history and help preserve its historic resources.
