The convenor said biweekly planning meetings will be scheduled and that commissioners who cannot attend every meeting should inform staff; the planning group will coordinate logistics over several months.
Community announcements: Commissioners shared community items: True2EDU (a partnership with Google offering $500 scholarships for IT classes) will launch in March; a "History on a Race" fundraising event to promote LGBTQIA history curriculum is scheduled for April 5; and Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania will hold a signature fundraiser in June that includes gender‑affirming care highlights.
Education system update: Leonard Orkovich reported that the Pittsburgh Public Schools queer equity committee reaffirmed existing gender‑expansive policies and student protections and will not change current policies in response to recent executive actions; commissioners noted students remain worried and the committee is providing reassurance.
