During public comment at the March 11 meeting, Hoover resident Adam Fultz said he did not receive a timely notice of the board meeting and asked the district to restore or improve its email notification list.
Fultz said he has attended meetings since 2007 and that previously the district sent notices from hcsnotices@hoover.k12.al.us. He said the last notice from that account was July (year not specified) and that the most recent board notice he received from the district had been in May 2024. "I didn't know about the meeting until 03:34 this afternoon," Fultz said, adding that he would find a 48-hour advance notice including the agenda helpful.
Board members acknowledged the comment during board remarks; no formal action or schedule change was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board did not provide an immediate response committing to specific changes to the notice list during the public portion of the meeting.
