At its March 11 regular meeting the Everett Public Schools board of directors recorded the following formal actions by general consent.
• Agenda adopted by general consent. The board’s published agenda for the March 11 meeting was adopted without objection. (No mover/second was recorded.)
• Consent agenda approved by general consent. The district reported it had received and answered two questions about financial reports and surplus items before the meeting; the consent agenda then was approved with no items removed.
• Policies advanced to second reading by general consent. The board moved three proposed policy revisions to second reading: – Policy 3210 (nondiscrimination — student-related): reorganized to align with chapter 392-190 WAC and OSPI model student-handbook language. – Policy 5010 (nondiscrimination — staff): removes affirmative-action plan text and clarifies complaint procedures for employees. – Policy 5320.8 (leaves without pay): removes outdated references to the governor’s COVID vaccine mandate.
Each action was taken by general consent with no roll-call vote recorded in the meeting minutes. The board did not adopt final policy language at this meeting; the revised policies will return for second reading.
