Council member Garner moved to appoint Bernstein; the motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem and approved by council. Council members were told the meeting will be conducted by Zoom, so the appointee will not be required to travel to participate.
The appointment is for a single meeting and is intended solely to carry the city’s representation at the formal dissolution action. No additional action was taken at the March 12 meeting on the JPA beyond the appointment.
