The Moraga Town Council on March 12 approved the conceptual design and supporting technical studies for the Moraga Road–Canyon Road Complete Streets project, which will add buffered bicycle lanes, revised turn lanes at several intersections, and improved pedestrian crossings on the corridor between St. Mary’s Road and Sanders Drive.
The project, led by the town’s public-works team and traffic engineers, is funded in part by a federal Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant administered through the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA).
