Manager Davis and other staff said a prior meeting had left outstanding questions about which documents the county attorney should review. A staff member said KYM (the agency handling disposition in the record) had emailed an index referencing an Earth Rent software management database where many documents are stored and said that records "are in the database" and available for download. Staff advised there might also be additional hard-copy records maintained by the emergency-services program or the ARM office.
Several magistrates cautioned that the county attorney could not advise the court without the documents. Manager Davis said he would coordinate with Chief Perry and KYM to locate the specific records, download accessible database materials and deliver hard copies to county counsel. Officials said recent flood-response demands on emergency-services personnel had slowed the record retrieval work.
Court members said they hoped the record packet would clarify whether FEMA or state terms restrict the county's ability to repurpose the site or to relocate the sheriff's office there, but staff said that question "depends on, FEMA, KYM on their response" and on what the county attorney finds in the documents. No vote was taken; staff were asked to gather the records and return with counsel's advice.
