Sixth-grade student council members present school highlights to Victor CSD board

Students from Victor Intermediate School’s sixth-grade student council presented to the school board about life at the intermediate campus, highlighting academic and extracurricular opportunities.
"VIS is an outstanding community with awesome students and amazing teachers who will support you every step of the way," said Ella, speaking for the group. Students named activities and supports they value, including student council, a morning livestream show, music programs, and a therapy dog named Hank.
Kathleen Habeker, a sixth-grade teacher and student-council advisor, brought the student representatives forward and thanked them for speaking. Principal Jim Marrow introduced the group and said he was "very excited and proud" to have students share their perspective.
The students described celebrations and recognition programs (student of the month, pizza with principals) that they said motivate classmates, and they cited field trips, STEM day and assemblies as highlights. The board and audience responded positively, and members thanked the students for their presentations.
