The Ormond Beach City Commission took several routine and legislative actions on Feb. 18.
- Ordinance 2025-12 (first reading): The commission read, by title only, an ordinance adopting updated schedules to the capital improvements element of the city’s comprehensive plan (Ordinance 2025-12). After limited discussion, commissioners voted yes on first reading.
- Minutes: The commission approved the minutes for the Feb. 4, 2025 city commission meeting.
- Consent agenda: The commission approved the consent agenda items as presented. Items included contract renewals, airport gate replacement, janitorial services and other routine administrative actions. Commissioners discussed specific consent items briefly — including an Internet upgrade at fire stations and replacement gates at the Ormond Airport — and asked staff to review current thresholds for miscellaneous crafts and trades contracts (current limit referenced at $25,000).
Roll calls taken during the meeting recorded unanimous 'yes' votes for the ordinance first reading, minutes approval and consent agenda. The city clerk called the roll for each action.
