Resident urges CAB to list submitted planning projects on neighborhood hub; county staff points to hub navigation
Summary
A resident asked the CAB to add a current list of submitted planning projects to CAB agendas so community members can see both conceptual "hub" items and projects that have formally been submitted to the planning department. Staff walked the CAB through how to find the neighborhood hub and its events on the county website.
Resident Pat Davidson told the Citizens Advisory Board she would like the CAB agenda to include a current list of projects that have been formally submitted to the planning department in addition to the conceptual items summarized during the neighborhood hub portion of CAB meetings.
Davidson said the planning department maintains a public list of current submitted projects by district, and including that list on CAB agendas would give CAB members and constituents advance notice about pending applications such as an extension of time, an abandoned American Flat parcel, and a solar project she referenced from the planning department’s list.
Staff demonstrated where to find the neighborhood hub on the county website (the Board of County Commissioners webpage, then the Neighborhood Hub link) and showed that the hub includes meeting documents, comment cards and an events calendar. CAB staff said they will continue to post hub materials and suggested residents review the hub for meeting dates and common-card inputs.
During the reports, CAB staff also said the county manager has reached out to a constituent about incorporating civility guidelines into CAB bylaws edits; staff said they will try to address civility issues when revising the CAB bylaws. No formal policy changes or votes were taken on these procedural items at the meeting.
