Washoe County commissioners on March 11 adopted a countywide Climate Action Plan aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from county operations and the broader community.
The plan, prepared by the county’s sustainability office and a FUSE fellow, lays out 126 recommended actions across four categories — governance and transparency, land stewardship, emissions reductions and clean energy production — and includes separate inventories for county operations and community-wide emissions.
