Miami Lakes senior group sets $12 lunch budget, moves bingo to 10:30 and reserves theater tickets

Miami Lakes — Members of a Miami Lakes senior committee on a recent meeting approved a $12-per-person lunch budget for an upcoming senior field trip, voted to start the regular bingo session earlier at 10:30 a.m., and authorized buying additional theater tickets and bus space for planned outings.

The committee approved a motion to set the lunch budget at $12 per person and to order 55 lunches for the senior trip; the body recorded the motion as passed. Committee members also moved to reserve additional theater tickets for upcoming plays and agreed to change the bingo start time so the group can finish by the center—s required 1 p.m. turn-around time.

The vote to set the lunch budget came after a discussion of past box-lunch costs and delivery logistics for an all-day Wynwood senior trip scheduled for March 26; members said the bus will depart the senior center in the morning and the host center will provide on-site programming.
