Logansport accepts $200,000 gift to develop Mike Anderson driving range

The Logansport Parks and Recreation Board on March 12 accepted a $200,000 gift from the Daniel C. Anderson Fund to support development of a driving range on a 10-acre parcel acquired for golf facilities.

Staff said the next steps include producing detailed design and budget estimates, planning parking (gravel or paved), acquiring range equipment (ball vending), and sequencing construction. Staff will return to the board with a project timeline and budget for formal approval prior to construction.

What the vote means

The MOU accepts the gift and authorizes staff to use it for project development; it does not itself authorize construction contracts or final expenditures beyond standard steps to design and budget the work. Those items will be brought back for separate approvals.
