After an initial ranked selection produced four finalists — Soledad Diaz, Milan (Milan), Lizzie Friend and Bill Dela Cruz (absent) — the panel submitted a second round of selections that resulted in Lizzie Friend and Soledad Diaz accepting the co‑chair roles. The co‑chairs will meet with staff and the independent police monitor to set meeting agendas and coordinate panel activities.
The panel also voted on whether to take on a specific case review, MI2025-005. The roll call on that vote recorded at least the following panel member positions: Soledad Diaz (yes), Milan (yes), Lizzie Friend (yes), Kristen (yes), Allen (yes), Jason (no), Chico (no) and AB (no).
