The Oklahoma City Council took a series of formal votes during the March 25 meeting. Highlights include:
- Resolution recognizing Toby Gordon as March 2025 Teacher of the Month (adopted unanimously). - Resolution commending the Oklahoma City Police Foundation for support of the department’s wellness unit (adopted unanimously). - Revocable permits and event approvals: GoGirlRun OKC (Heartland Racing Company, March 22), Riversport Foundation OKC Youth Invitational (April), and Redbud Classic (April) were approved unanimously. - Municipal Facilities Authority / Public Property Authority items and a step to add a construction manager for the new arena (Flintco–Mortenson joint venture) were approved unanimously; staff described the selection process and the joint venture’s role in construction management. - Multiple rezoning and SPUDs on the agenda were approved by roll call with no recorded dissent on those items; one high-profile SPUD for SISU (2129 NW 30th) was deferred to April 8 after extended public comment.
All recorded roll-call votes taken during the meeting were unanimous in favor except the SISU item, which was deferred by unanimous vote to allow further neighborhood and staff coordination.
