The Hialeah Planning and Zoning Board voted to approve the tentative plat for a vacant corner property at Red Road and West 203rd Street and forwarded the recommendation to the next stage of review.
Staff reported the parcel is a corner site that is vacant and noted the Department of Water and Sewer provided comments regarding the existing water main and the status of a pump station. Staff said that if a proposed change of use is made for the parcel, approval from the Department of Public Works will be required. The Fire Department, Police Department, Parks and Recreation and Planning Department had no objections to the tentative plat; the Streets Department did not oppose the tentative plan but advised that the final plan will require submission of a detailed site plan before final approval.
The motion to approve was made by Mister Zanrica and seconded by Mister Elise. The roll call vote recorded yes from the majority of the board and the item was approved.
No detailed site plan or final approvals were recorded at the hearing. Staff advised that the Streets Department and Public Works may require specific documentation as the project advances to final-plan review.
