County reaffirms participation in Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network

Kankakee County will continue participation in the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network (IPWMAN), county public works staff told the board on March 11.

Greg cited past uses of the network during tornado responses in Coal City and Ottawa and said the county was already a member but that the organization had changed its paperwork; the vote before the board was to re-sign the updated agreement so the county remains a member. Mr. Smith moved to approve the resolution and Mr. Crutcher seconded; the board approved the measure by voice vote.
