Council approves development agreement, renews city liability and cyber insurance, reappoints zoning board member

Seven Hills City Council passed three items and held first readings on two other ordinances during its March 11, 2025 meeting.
An amended ordinance (No. 8-2025) authorizing a development agreement between the city and LSB 7 Hills LLC passed on third reading and was declared an emergency. The ordinance directs the mayor to enter into a development agreement concerning a portion of real property described in an attached exhibit A and states the measure is necessary as an emergency.
The council also adopted Ordinance 16-2025 to authorize and direct the mayor to contract with Jackson Deacon and Associates of Westlake, Ohio, to provide comprehensive municipal liability and cyber insurance for the policy year beginning April 1, 2025. The ordinance appropriates a sum not to exceed $230,851 for the renewal and authorizes city administration to sign necessary documents. Council approved the ordinance as an emergency measure.
In appointments and confirmations, the council voted to reappoint Ryan Midday to the zoning board for a five-year term.
