Maritza Wong, a parent of two Dawson students, said adults not involved in the game “were all over the field” and that two Dawson players “ended up on the ground and were being kicked and beaten by adults.” She told trustees she received no districtwide communication after the incident and asked the board for Spanish-language updates, support for coaches and consistent follow-up with students who may be traumatized.
