Historic Preservation Agency ratifies two consent COAs for window and roof work

The City of Lake City Historic Preservation Agency on March 11 ratified two consent certificates of appropriateness: COA25-05 to replace five windows at 263 Southeast Vickers Terrace and COA25-06 to replace the roof at 449 Southeast Monroe Street.
Planning staff described COA25-05 as a replacement of five previously nonhistoric (vinyl) windows with new windows intended to be more consistent with the historic district. Staff noted the existing windows were previously replaced and the proposed windows aim to conform better to district character.
COA25-06 covers replacement of an existing shingle roof at 449 Southeast Monroe Street with a charcoal architectural shingle; staff reported that the work has already been completed and that neighboring homes include similar dark-shade roofing.
The agency had no discussion and approved the consent agenda by unanimous vote. The approval recorded yes votes from Miss McCollum, Miss Douglas, Miss Adams, Mister Gallucci and Mister Leidy.
No public comment or conditions were recorded for either COA in the meeting minutes. The items were presented as meeting the agency's standards for the historic district and were ratified on the consent agenda.
