At the March 10 meeting staff said the village would issue a request for proposals (RFP) for auditing services, with responses due April 18 and the selection process to be reviewed in May in advance of a July start.
Staff noted the village has used Sikich for roughly 15 years and that the RFP is intended to gather market information and proposals, not to predetermine a change. Staff also raised the possibility that a firm providing accounting services to the village could submit a proposal and noted that auditor/provider combinations have been used elsewhere, though staff said they would not recommend an auditor who also provides accounting services to the same client.
Ending: Staff will distribute the RFP and return with responses for the committee's review in May.
