Planning commission recommends approval of final plat for On Q project at 2300 N. Frisco Road

The UConn Planning Commission on March 10 recommended approval of a final plat application for a parcel at 2300 North Frisco Road, filed by On Q RE LLC and represented by SMC Consulting.
Mohammed Khan of SMC Consulting told the commission the plat had been reviewed by staff and engineering and that the project has approvals in place for extension of water, sewer and other utilities. Khan said the applicant had approached the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality for a land-disturbance permit and that building plans were under review by the city building department.
Why it matters: Final plat approval clears the way for the developer to complete subdivision paperwork and proceed toward permitting and construction. The commission’s recommendation will go to the city council for final action.
The commission’s motion to recommend approval cited the staff report and testimony at the public hearing. Commissioners called the roll and the motion passed; staff congratulated the applicant and the applicant said construction was expected to begin once permits are finalized.
Next steps: The matter will be forwarded to city council for final action and the applicant will follow up with city staff on land disturbance and building permits.
