Beavercreek — The Beavercreek City Council approved Resolution 25-06, authorizing the city manager to enter a multi-year license agreement with the Greene County Cosmos for use of the soccer fields at Rotary Park.
Under the agreement described to council, the Cosmos will enter an initial one-year license with automatic renewal for four additional one-year terms. The club will have exclusive use of the soccer fields on weekday evenings for its spring and fall seasons and will pay $500 for each season. The Cosmos will reimburse the city for contractor costs to line the fields for the full season (approximately $5,000 annually) and will replace nets as needed. Additional rental times, including weekend dates, will be charged at the city’s published fee schedule.
A city staff member presented the terms as formalizing a long-standing rental arrangement. A council member who said she is involved in the local soccer community vouched for the Cosmos as “a great neighbor” and expressed support for the agreement. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.
Ending
City staff said the agreement formalizes the relationship with a long-term renter and clarifies payment responsibilities for lining and equipment replacement.
