Council approves $1.82 million in claims and utility adjustments for late-February to early-March

The Speedway Town Council on March 10 approved claims and utility adjustments covering the period Feb. 20 through March 5, 2025. Court Treasurer Philip Faust presented the claims package and said it spanned 12 pages and totaled $1,823,135.61; utility adjustments covered five pages and 11 customers.
Faust asked the council to approve the claims and adjustments. Counselor Sarah Gardner moved to approve; Counselor Sean Harold seconded. President Nick Sturgeon called the vote, and the motion passed 3-0.
Faust also used his report to note several job openings in town administration and public services and encouraged applicants for positions including deputy clerk treasurer, economic development director, parks labor, police officers and street department roles.
