CRA recommends City Council approve $82,481.50 fabric replacement for downtown shade structures

Miss Sue, CRA executive director, presented the purchase recommendation and identified R.E.P. Services, Inc. of Longwood, Florida, as the original equipment manufacturer. A motion to recommend City Council authorize the procurement was made and seconded (second by Vice Mayor Cole) and passed on a voice vote.
Staff indicated the vendor estimate and recommended authorization amount not to exceed $82,481.50. The executive director said lead time for fabric replacement is likely eight to 12 weeks once the order is placed, but final timing depends on City Council authorization.
The CRA's vote was a recommendation to City Council; formal contract approval and purchase will occur at the council level after the item advances from the CRA.
