The Malden City Council’s license committee recommended and the full council granted a series of vehicle-dealer and taxi-driver petitions, including a change addressing Prestige Motors’ use of two adjacent lots.

Committee members reported that updated plot plans were required for all applicants; Prestige Motors operates at 600 Broadway and also leases the adjacent 590 Broadway lot. To avoid a single business obtaining an aggregate number of vehicles that exceeds what any single lot can hold, the committee recommended issuing two separate Class 2 licenses: Prestige Motors of Malden, Inc., 590 Broadway (30 cars) and 600 Broadway (37 cars), tying the permitted number of vehicles to each address. The council granted that petition by motion; the clerk recorded the vote to grant the 590 Broadway petition.

The council also granted petitions listed as papers 99–110 (renewals and new licenses for dealers, delivery companies, secondhand dealers, and taxi drivers). Committee members said most properties met the new plot-plan requirements; a small number required adjusted counts based on on-site capacity. The licenses were granted by voice vote with no reported opposition.
