Votes at a glance: Board approves consent agenda, hires assistant principal/activities director, adjourns

The Beatrice Public Schools Board of Education took several routine personnel and consent actions at its March 10 meeting, including approval of the consent agenda and confirmation of hiring for an assistant principal and activities director.

Consent agenda: The board voted to approve the consent agenda, which the motion text identified to include approval of minutes of the Feb. 10, 2025 regular meeting; accounts for payment; budgetary receipts and expenditures for February 2025; Committee of the Whole minutes for Feb. 24, 2025; option students for 2024–25 and 2025–26; and several staff resignations (Jill Rice; Haley Weiser Bolt; Karen Gartner; Michelle Bloom; Jenny Montague; and a "birth to 3" preschool teacher). The motion to hire was seconded and the board approved the appointment.
