An EDA member reported Feb. 14 that the Brainerd Area Chamber circulated a meeting notice for MnDOT’s Highway 210 reconstruction outreach set for March 6, with both a morning and an afternoon session. The EDA member said the morning session conflicts with the EDA’s regular meeting and encouraged coordination so the city is not overrepresented at MnDOT outreach.
The member said they planned to attend the afternoon session and urged colleagues to share questions or topics to ask MnDOT through Tony, the city staff member who manages meeting logistics. City staff said a workshop on Highway 210 mitigation, business support and signage is planned for the EDA’s first Thursday workshop in April. The EDA agreed to monitor MnDOT meeting dates and recommended at least one representative attend the March 6 outreach.
