Council approves Rohrs easement vacation; larger drainage-and-utility easement to replace vacated strips

The Lake Elmo City Council adopted a resolution approving Rohrs Companies’ request to vacate three easements along the southern boundary of the Rohrs project site.
City staff said the three easements (two 15-foot and one 10-foot easement) are proposed to be vacated to clean up the legal description and consolidate utilities. Staff noted a substantially larger drainage-and-utility easement will replace the smaller vacated strips to meet the city’s drainage and utility needs. Staff also confirmed that the required public hearing and statutory notice were completed prior to council action.
No public comments were received at the hearing. Following a motion and second, the council approved Resolution 2025-519 to vacate the easements by voice vote.
