The Board of Selectmen on March 10 adopted revised guidelines for the town’s Hometown Heroes recognition program.
Selectmen said staff and the Hometown Heroes Commission had reviewed and clarified language in the guidelines and the nomination form to remove ambiguity about nominations and group recognition. “Both Heather and I are hometown heroes, and there were adjustments made last year to clarify some things,” a selectman said; the board moved to adopt the updated guidelines and voted “aye.”
Staff indicated the updated guidelines and nomination form will be posted online the next day so residents can begin submitting nominations for recognition plaques and honors.
