Commissioners award $79,320 contract for replacement mega-ramp dock; city contribution required

The Hart County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 March 11 to award the replacement mega-ramp dock contract to Custom Docks Incorporated for $79,320, contingent on the city agreeing to pay 50 percent of the cost.

County Administrator (presenting bid tab) recommended Custom Docks of Anderson as the low bidder and said the vendor estimated delivery in seven to eight weeks, earlier than the other bidders. Commissioner Dorsey moved to accept the recommendation; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
