Revolution250 reports April and spring programming across multiple towns and themes

Revolution250 updated the commission on Patriot's Day (April 19) events, Chelsea Creek commemoration, podcasts and work with local partners to tell expanded Revolutionary War-era stories across Massachusetts.
Jonathan Lane of Revolution250 told commissioners that Patriot’s Day programming on April 19 and related events are scheduled in multiple communities, and previewed additional commemorations planned for later in spring 2025.
Lane said communities including Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Arlington, Sudbury, Westford and Acton will hold events on Patriot’s Day and that Minute Man National Historical Park will host multiple April activities. He noted the group’s work with Chelsea, East Boston, Revere and Winthrop on a joint commemoration of Chelsea Creek scheduled for late spring and said organizers intend to present events on both sides of the creek.
Lane highlighted new research being incorporated into programming, including accounts of individual participants and casualties from 1775, and described outreach to organizations on the South Coast and Plymouth that are developing projects, including a planned Mercy Otis Warren scholarship initiative in Plymouth.
He also noted Revolution250’s podcasting and informational work, and the group’s coordination with New York planning partners on Knox Trail and related events.
