Facilities committee members also reported ongoing items including a proposed bucket truck purchase for maintenance (committee recommendation; cost approximately $8,000) and a sprinkler system replacement at Nancy Grayson Elementary that staff will present with funding options. The administration told the board that most stadium and field punch‑list items remain on schedule and that the contractor expects construction completion ahead of the new school year, with specific work (for example, throw‑circle concrete and scoreboard wiring) scheduled to align with press‑box and scoreboard installation.
Board members pressed for more complete, approved prints before future bid packages after noting prior change orders were partly driven by incomplete drawing sets. Staff agreed to tighten document control for future solicitations.
