Presenters emphasized that much of the CESA work is paid from external grants, including Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) funding for the district’s military‑affiliated programs, and that a reduction in federal grant funding would not be easily absorbed at the local level.
A motion to approve the 2025–26 CESA contract as presented and place it on consent was moved, seconded and forwarded to the full board (4–0, three absent). Committee members asked staff and CESA to continue monitoring federal funding developments and report changes that could affect services.
