Staff noted that several large state-route projects (including two McEwen-related projects and Franklin Road improvements) remain priorities and will require coordination with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Aldermen discussed balancing investments that drive new growth versus maintaining and supporting existing business districts such as Cool Springs and downtown. Staff said the exhibits are intended to inform upcoming CIP prioritization decisions and that a first draft of board priorities would be circulated in the next board meeting cycle for further review.
The presentation closed with staff asking for board feedback on where the board wants to direct infrastructure investment and noting that CIP decisions will help determine where city-driven growth will be supported.
