Tehachapi resident urges Kern supervisors to support AJR 3 opposing proposed federal Medicaid cuts

Adams asked the board’s Republican members to press their colleagues at the state and federal levels to oppose the proposal she described as “devastating,” saying it would have local consequences for hospitals and patients. She concluded by asking the board and staff to consider signing onto AJR 3 and thanked the supervisors for their time.
No board action was taken during the public-comment period on the request; the speaker framed her remarks as a legislative ask to be considered through the county’s legislative platform process.
