The presenter said the edits were made in response to feedback received at the prior meeting and via email. The board called for the student representatives’ advisory votes; the student reps advised the board with unanimous “aye” responses. Director Cohen moved to adopt the revised policy; Director Williams seconded. The motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.
The revised policy will guide district staff in handling sensitive student information and is intended to remove ambiguity about what qualifies as an exception to confidentiality.
