Board finds personnel administration compliant after human resources presents new employee survey results

Human resources staff presented a year‑to‑date monitoring report and new‑employee survey to the school board, and the board voted to find the district compliant with its personnel administration policy (OE‑4).

Will, the district HR presenter, summarized a 30/60/90‑day anonymous survey of new employees across job classifications and said the district’s strongest improvement was “relationships at work.” He described survey questions including whether an employee felt someone at work cared about them and whether they had the physical resources to do their job. Will said most items rated above 3.8 on a 1–5 scale and pointed to strong results on recognition: “In the last 7 days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work,” he said, noting a 3.6 average on that item.

Superintendent Tim Winter presented the OE‑4 monitoring report and recommended it be found fully compliant. A board member moved to adopt the OE‑4 personnel administration monitoring report as compliant; another board member seconded, and the motion passed on an oral vote recorded as “ayes.” The board did not record a roll‑call tally in the transcript.

Board members praised HR’s recruiting and onboarding efforts, including substitute orientation and checks to ensure employees complete required background checks before unsupervised student contact. Will said HR personally reviews employment folders before hire recommendations and that the district is continuing work on belonging, PLCs and MTSS.

The board adopted the monitoring report as compliant and will include Will’s presentation as evidence in future monitoring documentation.
