Board OKs office for Alternatives program care coordinator in HSC Building

The Story County Board of Supervisors on March 11 approved a request from the county attorney’s office to use Office 204 in the HSC Building for the county’s Alternatives program care coordinator.
The county attorney’s office said the change would maintain “a physical separation of alternatives from our main office so that the participants are more comfortable coming in and receiving services,” and that the office had been unused for more than a year after previously serving as the Boost office. The request named the newly hired care coordinator, Nicole Stangland, as the staff who would use the space.
Presenters said the location is near the fines recovery office and other assistance programs, which helps coordination when clients stabilize and begin fine-payment plans. The board approved the request by motion.
No fiscal details or lease changes were presented at the meeting; the approval covered County internal allocation of existing office space.
