Muskogee council authorizes city manager to finalize downtown economic-development deal; no action on city-manager employment

Following an executive session on March 10 convened under Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the City of Muskogee City Council authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute the documents necessary to effectuate an economic development agreement related to property in the downtown area.
City Clerk staff reported the motion and noted the council convened under Section 307(c)(11) and Section 307(B)(1), Title 25, Oklahoma Statutes. The motion to authorize the city manager to negotiate and execute the documents carried on a roll-call vote.
The council also convened under Section 307(B)(1), Title 25 to discuss the employment-related matters of the city manager; after discussion the clerk reported no action was required on that employment matter.
The authorization to negotiate and execute the downtown economic-development documents passed by roll-call vote.
