Revere staff to present "book room" proposal for Richfield Elementary library

At the March 11 Revere Board of Education work session staff previewed a Richfield Elementary “book room” proposal that would place sets of books in the school library as a teacher resource for small-group instruction.

According to the presentation summary, each title would be available as a set of six copies that teachers could check out for tier-2 group instruction focused on character development and positive behavior. As described in the meeting, the books “will be housed at the library at Richfield Elementary or it'll be a set of 6 for teachers to choose from for, like, what or should explain to me, like, tier 2 instruction for students.”

Board members asked whether the collection would occupy existing shelf space or a separate room; one member suggested it might be placed behind a separating wall. Staff said they would provide more detail at the March 18 meeting and that the collection would function primarily as a teacher resource rather than general student circulation.

No funding source, purchase total or formal board action was reported at the March 11 session; the item appears on the March 18 draft agenda for further presentation and discussion.
