Court files ESD financial report, racial-profiling exemption; approves routine purchases and contracts

The court approved for filing the Henderson County Emergency Service District No. 4 annual financial statement covering the relevant reporting period; staff said the filing brings ESD 4 current after prior years were late. A commissioner noted the filing satisfied a provision discussed under ‘‘House Bill 3,764’’ as referenced in the meeting. The court voted unanimously to accept the filing for record purposes only.
The court also received the Henderson County Fire Marshal’s 2024 racial-profiling report; the fire marshal informed the court the office qualified for an exemption because the marshal’s office does not conduct traffic stops. The court accepted the filing for record purposes.
On routine purchasing, the court approved spending $423.75 from the Healthy County account to buy 75 water bottles (minimum order) containing a sports towel as an incentive to increase participation in Healthy County drawings and events. The court also approved copier replacement/renewal contracts to go through Document Solutions and to use existing contract terms to avoid price increases; the motion authorized the county judge to sign the contracts.
The court approved payment of bills for fiscal year 2025 in the amount of $566,873.25 and approved submitted budget amendments. All motions passed unanimously.
