High school student urges board to adopt clearer policy on college coursework and jumpstart options

She asked trustees to adopt a written policy detailing available concurrent and dual-enrollment pathways, how courses satisfy graduation and scholarship requirements, assistance resources for students taking college-level work, and a transparent description of district financial support for tuition and fees.
Her remarks were part of the meeting’s public comment period and the board did not take immediate action. Staff and trustees acknowledged receiving prior emails on the subject and said they would consider the request as policy and graduation requirements are reviewed.
