Presenters: Chief instructional officer Miss Graber and Loretta Dalrymple Rempel, director of assessment and accountability, presented the TAPR summary and explained the report is the state-mandated annual review under Texas Education Code §39.053. The district emphasized the TAPR uses data from the prior school year (the 2022–23 test year for the 2023–24 TAPR) and that recent changes in testing and rules complicate year-to-year comparisons.
Key points: District staff reported the emergent bilingual (EB) population generated the district's federal accountability points this year, noting strong TELPAS growth. The district's 2023 graduation rate was presented as 86.2%. Staff said special education outcomes triggered a "needs intervention" determination and described work to better align processes with IDEA and with PEIMS/CTE coding for CCMR measures. Staff said they are focusing on Program of Study alignments to ensure industry-based certifications (IVCs) and correct course IDs are captured for CCMR reporting.
