WICKLIFFE, Ohio — The Wickliffe Planning Commission recommended approval of a zoning change for a parcel associated with the rabbinical college Tel Yeshiva, and the City Council announced a public hearing for 7 p.m. on April 9, 2025, to take public comment.
The recommendation, presented to council on March 10, described a change from institutional recreational zoning to R1-705 for the parcel identified as 2980100000120 (address listed as 2688 Bishop Road). The Planning Commission letter, signed by Chairman Patrick McGraw, was forwarded to council per Section 13.41 of the city ordinances.
At the meeting applicant representative Mr. Goldberg told council he is pursuing a zoning change for 2688 Bishop and asked about the process. Council President LaVonne announced the public hearing date and said the council will follow the statutory three‑reading process after the hearing if council recommends approval.
The council packet notes the Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 6, 2025, and recommended approval. The matter will return to council on April 9 for a public hearing; subsequent readings and any final council action would follow the city’s required notification and reading schedule.
