Officials say architect selected for T2 fire station remodel; options and costs still being developed

A member of city staff (facilities/chief liaison) said facilities director Chuck Denny and facilities manager Chris Graham worked with staff to select an architect and are formalizing the agreement. A representative from the architect’s firm has already met with staff to discuss needs and constraints, and staff will produce options and cost estimates to present to the committee and council.
The official noted funds were allocated in the last budget but cautioned the city did so without a full scope and that the project’s final cost will depend on options, site limits and other constraints. Committee members urged that the remodel preserve staff morale and provide workspaces that retain paramedics and firefighters.
No formal action or vote occurred; staff said a detailed update would follow once the architect completes preliminary plans.
