The subcommittee reported the ongoing bus procurement drew proposals from numerous bidders; one vendor’s bid was found not responsive and rejected.
The subcommittee noted the Bishop Connolly lease would continue at the current monthly rate of $11,000 and that the FY26 agreement covers a 14‑month period from January 2025 through Aug. 1, 2026. The committee also heard an update on Brightly, the facilities‑workorder tracking software, and a report that Yellow Bus, Trembly’s and Fisher Bus were recommended for three‑year awards (with district options for two additional years).
When the full committee initially considered the referred items it recorded roll‑call approvals. Later in the meeting, after a question about whether revised agenda items had been posted within the legally required notice period, the committee rescinded several votes for housekeeping and to allow the items to return on a properly posted agenda next week. Committee members said the rescission was procedural and the administration will re-present the contracts and leases at the next meeting.
Ending: Administration will refile the recommended contracts and the Bishop Connolly lease amendment for a properly noticed vote next week; staff will provide final contract language, option-year details and insurance/maintenance provisions when the items return.
