Shiploder 3 commissioning was progressing and work continued around the clock while power transfers were scheduled.
Nick also said construction at City Docks and Sallier Rail is advancing; Sallier Rail is close to completion and the city is expected to begin an associated road project. He told commissioners multiple bid openings are scheduled for the next meeting, primarily for equipment purchases with several construction awards to follow. Nick confirmed the Industrial Canal design (discussed elsewhere on the agenda) is expected to go out for bid next month.
Commissioners commended staff on the ribbon cutting and asked routine questions about project timing. Staff named Albert Palma and Chuck Myers and Associates as engineers involved in Warehouse 300 design and construction.
