Several members of the public used the meeting's public-comment period to raise local concerns to the board.
Resident Richard Wilkins urged the board to address persistent dumping and burning on Panorama Road, saying the site has received construction and household waste, including material he described as commercial garbage. Wilkins asked whether board members had not read emailed complaints or lacked solutions and also asked the board to consider how the county honors emergency and public-safety staff who cannot take weather-related administrative days off.
Lewis Thompson of 1660 Panorama Road also spoke in favor of staggered elections earlier in the meeting and voiced support for steps to prevent indiscriminate dumping.
Chair Fisher and other supervisors responded that district supervisors are the usual first point of contact for location-specific complaints and that staff follow-up is the standard process. The chair urged residents to contact their district supervisor or the county administrator so that staff can investigate and coordinate appropriate agency responses; supervisors noted that issues involving alleged illegal dumping may involve code enforcement and the sheriff's office.
Ending: County staff said they would follow up with residents on the dump complaint and residents were reminded to report location-specific problems to their district supervisor or county administration for the appropriate next steps.
